On Saturday, February 2, 2008 at about 9:16 PM, 2 citizens were walking in the 1000 blk of W St NW when 2 suspects came up behind them asking what time it was. Although the citizens kept walking, the suspects confronted them and demanded their money. During the robbery, 1 suspect displayed a handgun in his waist band. The citizens were able to flag down an officer who immediately broadcast a lookout for the suspects.
Members of the 3D Auto Theft Unit immediately canvassed for the suspects and located the 2 suspects in the 900 block of Euclid St, NW. Both suspects were positively identified as the robbers. Both individuals were found to have evidence in their possession which was taken in the robbery.
